Class Term Structure:
During term time there are several classes running each week. Due to covid-19 restrictions I am currently running classes online and when government advice allows, daytime classes in the studio that adhere to all government and HSE recommended guidelines. Please see the timetable page for details. I hope to run evening classes again in the near future. Each term of physical classes normally lasts for nine weeks. Online classes have a duration of either four or six weeks, plus a drop in class.
Under 'normal' conditions, students of all ages and backgrounds attend the classes in a friendly, relaxed, professional studio environment. And, for those who wish to be more involved there are regular arts and social events held outside of the studio setting. Based in Drinagh, on the edge of Wexford Town, the studio has ample free parking, wheelchair access, and a café within the same building complex.
In addition to weekday classes, weekend workshops run once a month, and there are children’s and young adult art sessions at the weekend and during holiday periods.
As class times and dates may be subject to variation from term to term, please call me to discuss your requirements. Due to current demand pre-booking is essential. If you have any questions regarding art classes please contact me.
Gift vouchers for art classes and workshops are available on request. For class times and term start dates please refer to the timetable page on this site.
'I have been attending classes with Helen for about a year and a half now, and I absolutely LOVE them! Great atmosphere, fantastic tutoring and instruction.'
'I have been attending Helens art class now for the past two years, and for that time I have learned so much about painting while still having a fun night. The other people at the class are now my friends and I wouldn't miss it. Helen makes the class enjoyable and is an excellent teacher and her bubbly personality is infectious.'
'I enjoy my class so much because Helen is such an inspirational teacher. The fact that I didn't need any previous experience or special skills really attracted me to her class. The creative, encouraging and friendly atmosphere in her workshop has given me the confidence to produce my own individual mosaic artworks'.
- Helen Corish
'Helen's classes are great fun, and very sociable. Her care and attention brings out the creative best in all of us. I've learned I can actually paint!'
- Niall McGuigan
'I have been attending art classes with Helen every Thursday morning for the last two years. I find the classes such fun, and have made some great friends. Never thought I would be painting pictures that I would be proud enough to hang in my home, and that friends and family would be ordering paintings from me'
