Online Drawing Classes

These very relaxing step-by-step online drawing classes have proved very popular. Over the course of six weeks we will explore and develop your skills using pencil, pen and charcoal as we tackle different subject matter and produce a finished artwork every one or two sessions. Drawing classes are suitable for all abilities from those who are complete beginners right through to more experienced students. For beginners, you'll learn the basics and for those who have some experience, you'll learn new tips, tricks and techniques. At the end of each class I will review your work and give you feedback. After each class you will be sent a recording of the session for you to review and allow further practice at your leisure, if you wish.
The class is intentionally not a webinar, it's interactive in so far as is possible. For that reason student numbers are limited in each class and I really want you to be placed in the right class for your needs and for you to get the most out of that class. There is therefore intentionally no online booking option on this website and it's why I request that you contact me to help you sign up to the right class for you!

Zoom Drawing Class Details & Contact
Over nine weeks students work on the style they wish to pursue in the medium they initially prefer. As things progress I will try to gently open them up to new possibilities and techniques. The classes are suitable for all abilities from those who are complete beginners right through to more experienced students. For beginners, the art class is an exploration of their individual creative potential as much as it is a technical learning experience. For the more advanced painters who often become ‘stuck’ at a particular level, I can help introduce new skills, challenges, and achievable goals to move them on to the next level. At the end of each class I will review your work and give you feedback.
All of my art classes are run within a fun, yet professional, environment. For those students that wish to be involved, there are regular exhibitions, talks, and events outside of the class setting. Alternatively, the painting class may simply be your opportunity to become absorbed, relax, and lose yourself in your own creativity.
There are both daytime and evening art classes at various times during the week and weekend workshops once a month. The studio has ample parking and a cafe in the building open during office hours
Student numbers are limited in each class and I really want you to be placed in the right class for your needs and for you to get the most out of that class. Mosaic Classes
It's relaxing, it's addictive and you will learn all you need to know to create your own mosaic masterpiece in this class. Having worked in mosaic on a wide range of international projects over many years I can advise you on what's achievable and guide you along the steps to achieve it.
Mosaics can be created using ancient or modern techniques and I have experience using both to create artworks commissioned for international clients. Over nine weeks I will help you set achievable goals and teach you the techniques required to complete them. Each student works at their own pace on their own unique project. As things progress I will try to gently open them up to new possibilities and techniques. I have many years of extensive experience teaching and facilitating art classes and workshops, at all levels, in schools across the Southeast of Ireland.

We cover a wide and varied range of art and crafting techniques in the class, it's different every week and often within every class

After speaking to me to ensure that a suitable place is available kids are welcome to come along and try a class before you commit to a term payment.

In most cases there will be a second teaching assistant working with me during the class to keep all the children engaged

There are several Youth Art Classes running on a Saturday with each of the classes working on age appropriate content.

Students don't need to have any previous drawing, crafting or painting experience to start attending classes.

Each student gets to decide what level of interaction suits them in the class

Full Garda vetting and clearance is in place.

All classes are run under current government health guidelines in relation to covid-19

Kids 1: 10 am to 11.15 am, suitable for ages 1st to 4th class
Kids 2: 11.30am to 12.45, suitable for ages 5th & 6th class

Teen Art Classes
It's been a tough few years to be a teenager! This class proved to be a very popular outlet during the lockdowns, where students learnt new skills and became absorbed in their creativity. Now it's great to be back in the studio! For older teens I can also help with advice regarding portfolio preparation for third level if required.
